FULL BIOGRAPHY

EDC’s Jim & Margee Floor, reside in Granite Bay California, a suburb of Sacramento. This past December they celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary while at Disneyland with their adult children and their 5 grandchildren.

Jim was born in Los Angeles just 5 months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the 2nd in a family that included 3 boys and one girl. All four of his Grandparents had immigrated to the United States from Greece in the early 1900’s.

Margee, born in Los Angeles a couple years later, is mostly of Irish decent and her family has been in America since before the Revolutionary War. In fact, her descendants include the wife of one of President George Washington’s cousins; General James Walker Fannin jr. who fought and was killed during the Texas Revolution in 1836; and the famous Buffalo Bill Cody. Margee’s “Big” brother Bryant and his wife Judy are Emeralds in the business.

Jim & Margee met in college and were married in1965 during his junior year at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. Jim graduated in1967 with a degree in Architectural Engineering, and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1972.

Jim worked for 16 years in various engineering and management positions for the Southern California Gas Company --- the last five as Governmental Affairs Manager, the company’s liaison with local and State elected officials including the Mayor of Los Angeles and the Governor of California.

Margee worked for several years in Corporate Sales & Marketing for Mattel Toys until she and Jim decided to start a family.

Jim and Margee were introduced to the Amway business in1979. Although both were reluctant at first, Jim began listening to stories on tape of people from various walks of life who had succeeded in the Amway business. After a few weeks of consideration, Jim agreed to drive with his sponsor Fred to a “show the plan” meeting at a hotel in Orange County. There he made the decision to get started, but just to make a few hundred dollars per month.
