Roger and Pat met in College and were married two years later. Roger was an insurance broker for 15 years before the Amway business and Pat was a first grade teacher. Neither was interested in the Amway business because they thought it was a business for people who wanted to make $100 or so per month. Pat and Nancy Dornan were roommates in the hospital when their daughters were born.
Jim and Nancy Dornan approached Roger and Pat every year over a period of six years. Jim bought a life insurance policy from Roger who, in return, felt obligated to become an Amway IBO. Both Roger and Pat agreed about wanting to have Pat stay home to raise their two children and the idea of having a home-based business made more and more sense.
Soon the possibility of earning needed income became exciting. In addition, the thought of having control of their personal time, was a huge factor in choosing to pursue their Amway business. They liked the idea of multiplying their efforts through the opportunity of helping others with theirs. After they reached the Diamond level in the business Roger sold his insurance business.
All in all, this is a truly unique and fulfilling business model that provided them with an incredible lifestyle, income, freedom and satisfaction to continue to pursue their dreams and goals.
